Within NAC of ICSAW, traditional plant medicines are approached as sacred within religious and ceremonial practice.
Their relationship to the church is therefore fundamentally different from recreational or commercial use. Ceremony carries responsibilities—to the medicine, to the people participating, to the traditions being honored, and to the spiritual purposes for which sacred medicines have long been used.
NAC of ICSAW is committed to approaching these practices with reverence, appropriate preparation, responsibility, and respect for the cultural and spiritual traditions surrounding them.
An important part of this work is helping create greater understanding of the relationship between Indigenous peoples, sacred medicines, religious practice, cultural preservation, and the Earth.
Through education and advocacy, Adam and NAC of ICSAW seek to encourage respectful dialogue about traditional plant medicines and the responsibilities involved in their preservation and ceremonial use.
This work also supports broader awareness of the need to protect sacred plants, habitats, cultural traditions, and the rights of communities to maintain their spiritual and ancestral ways.
NAC of ICSAW recognizes a variety of sacred ceremonies and spiritual practices that honor Creator, Mother Earth, ancestral wisdom, and the interconnectedness of all life. Participation is guided by authorized ceremonial leadership, appropriate preparation, respect for established traditions, and applicable church requirements.

NAC of ICSAW envisions a future in which sacred ceremonies, ancestral teachings, and spiritual traditions continue to flourish through respectful relationships, responsible leadership, and the sharing of wisdom across generations.
Through ceremony, education, cultural exchange, and community gatherings, we seek to create opportunities for people to deepen their relationship with Creator, Mother Earth, and one another. Our commitment is to honor the wisdom of those who came before us while nurturing a living spiritual community grounded in reverence, compassion, integrity, and service to all our relations.
